The journey begins: A fixer and a knower
I'm Geoff Wright, a middle-aged, semi-retired individual who enjoys painting and DIY. I'm a self-proclaimed fixer of things and a knower of stuff. Though born in Leicester, England, I proudly identify as Irish, having lived in Dublin for the past 26 years. My lovely wife, Martina, and I reside near the Dublin mountains. With our ten grandchildren, story time often involves tales "from my head," which became the initial inspiration for my children's ebooks.
Crafting creations: Challenges and triumphs
Creating the artist app has been a significant undertaking, as I've coded it myself from the ground up. Integrating all the different features presented a considerable challenge, and I'm continuously working on adding more paint manufacturers and material suppliers. The children's books, however, came about quite quickly after I decided to pursue them. I used Canva to write the books, drawing inspiration from our story nights. For the illustrations, I leveraged three different AI tools to achieve the precise characters, colours, and resolutions I envisioned. It turns out, guiding AI to match your mind's eye isn't as straightforward as one might think!
My vision: Inspiring creativity and joy
My ultimate hope is for children and artists to find joy and inspiration in my creations. Whether it's through the imaginative worlds of my books or the practical assistance of my app, I want to encourage creativity and provide valuable tools. My main message is simple: buy the books, download the app, and immerse yourselves in the creative products I've poured my passion into.
